Introduction:

As requested, I have done some research on the Internet about acid rain. My findings are described below.

Causes:

Acid rain is caused when acid mixes with air. The most important acid is sulfur dioxide. Some causes are natural, like volcano eruptions or lightning. Others are caused by people, like air pollution. The use of fossil fuels such as coal and oil, as well as the carbon dioxide produced by factories and power stations is a very important factor in the production of acid rain.

Effects:

Acid rain can have serious effects on animals, plants and humans. It can affect forests, soil and freshwater reserves. It poisons rivers and lakes. It can also damage buildings and monuments.

Solution:

Governments all over the world must enforce regulations to control the release of acid gases into the atmosphere by factories and power stations. Also, vehicle emissions should be strictly controlled.

Conclusion:

This is a very important problem for the environment. We must take care of the planet for future generations.
